Happy Father's Day in Heaven, Dad! This has become the hardest day/weeks of my life. We lost you on June 9th (2012) with Father's Day shortly after. Living so far from home doesn't make missing you any easier. I am not around to see your empty chair to help me really come to terms that you're gone. I relished my visits home because I knew you were there, now it hurts to go home. Sometimes it makes me feel so alone. My memories with you are what keeps me going. I think of you everyday! I love and miss you so much, Dad. Until we meet again...
All my love, Katgoat

Dad, it has been quite awhile since I've left a message, but it doesn't change the fact that I still think of you everyday. It is no lie that tears fall at least once a day when memories of you come to mind. Oh how I miss you1

Hi Papa, I am going to school for education. I have so many questions I wish I could ask you. Hopefully, I can be as patient as you were. I think about you often, and wish I had grew up near you. I know I could have learned so much from you, like Mom did. I sure could have used that red pen. I love you and hope you get this message someway..somehow. love, poppydoodles. P.S. I still don't know what that nickname means.

I don't know what to say today other then I miss you so! I wonder how long it will take for me not to cry every time I think of you, or if I ever will.

I spent the day outside planting and weeding hoping it would help me not to miss you so much today. It didn't work! I thought of you all day because I remember how we both loved doing the yard work and the pride you took in your lawn. When I mowed, you had me cut in different directions each time. One day horizontal, then vertical, then diagonal. I loved going to nurseries to pick out flowers. I know now why I work so hard in my flower beds and have pride in how they look. Thank you for giving me an activity that makes me so happy. Happy Father's Day Dad! Missing you still, Katgoat

It's snowing Dad, and reminded me of the times when we all went cross country skiing. Choosing which wax to use and waxing skis. My favorite place was the trails at that country store in Burnt Hills, the same where we picked apples in fall. Oh, the fun times we had as a family! Except for the time you crashed into a tree and broke your finger, hehe.

Dear Dad,
It doesn't matter if it's been 9 months or if it was yesterday, there is no sense in waiting for missing you to get any easier, it never will!

Dear Dad,
As I watch snowmobiles pass my house, it reminds me of the time you took me snowmobiling at your friend's house. I remember you were nervous having never drove a snowmobile before. You figured it out and we had an awesome time! I hate going out in the cold & snow now that I'm older, but I would definitely go out and play in it if you were out there too. Love always, your Katgoat
