Stephen O. Jennings, 62, of Chicago, formerly of Metropolis, passed away on April 29, 2022, after a brutal year battling multiple cancers. He was born to Thomas and Hilda Jennings on Aug. 13, 1959.
A memorial mass will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, June 6, 2022, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Metropolis, with Michael Mujule officiating.
Steve was a brilliant black and white photographer, runner and cyclist.
Steve is survived by his brothers, T. Michael Jennings (wife Elizabeth), Lynn Neal Jennings and Ike E. Jennings; two sisters, Geraldine M. Katovich and Tanna Konemann (husband Damon); three nieces; three nephews, and many friends.
Preceding Steve in death are his parents, Thomas and Hilda Jennings; sister, Patricia M. Jennings; and nephew, Kent Katovich.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the chemotherapy center where Steve received treatment, Advocate Charitable Foundation, 836 W. Wellington, Box 119, Chicago, IL 60657, Donate.advocategiving.org/masonic.
