Mr. Stephen Preston Jevons

Stephen Preston Jevons, 77, of Terrell passed away in Forney on January 26. He was born in Washington, DC on April 22, 1935 to Ellis Edgar and Ethel (Hardy) Jevons. "Steve" was an avid reader and loved reading mystery and western novels. He served his country on many levels, in the United States Air Force in Korea and later retired as a budget officer for the US government. Stephen is preceded in death by his parents. Those left to celebrate his life are beloved wife, Charlene Jevons of Terrell, children Cynthia Mahaffey and husband Kevin of Heartland, Cheri Phillips and husband DeWayne of Oklahoma City, Steve Jevons of Dibble, Oklahoma, and Scott Jevons and wife Susan of Henderson, Nevada, 9 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Family will receive visitors on Tuesday, January 29, from 6-8 pm at Anderson-Clayton Bros. Funeral Home in Terrell. Funeral service will be Wednesday, at 11 am, also at the funeral home, with interment to follow at Highland Memorial Gardens. Family requests donations be made in Mr. Jevons' honor to the Alzheimer's Association.
