Stephen Kline Sr., 79, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 14, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on April 13, 1945, to Virginia Eugenia Rigmaiden and Starr Harrison Kline.
Stephen proudly served in the United States Marine Corps for six years, including active duty during the Vietnam War. In the Marine Corps, he worked on the 81-millimeter mortar patrol. Stephen retired from CertainTeed Polymers in Westlake. A lifelong lover of the outdoors, Stephen enjoyed camping, yard work, and was a mechanic. He liked various styles of music and enjoyed playing guitar and singing. He was also a devout Christian, deeply committed to his faith.
Stephen is survived by his children: Stephen Kline (Sheree), Travis Kline, Jason Kline (Allona), and Jesse Kline; his brother, Butch Royer; four grandchildren, Parry, Jacob, Josie, and Olivia Rose; and two great-grandsons, Lincoln and Lucas Ishee.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 56 years, Rose Kline, and his parents.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, November 18, 2024, at Johnson Funeral Home of Lake Charles. Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 17, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and will continue Monday morning from 9:00 AM until the time of service. Burial will follow at Consolata Cemetery.
The Pallbearers will be; Jacob Kline, Parry Skinner, Bill Ishee, George Ange, Thomas Chapman, and Russell Chapman.
