Stephen Harold Kowalski

Stephen Harold Kowalski, "Steve", age 67, of Wilmington, DE passed away surrounded by his family on April 11, 2025.
Born in Wilmington, Steve was the son of Florence (Parkinson) and the late Henry "Hank" Kowalski. He graduated from McKean High School and spent time working for Pitney Bowes and most recently, Artisans' Bank. Steve was an avid Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles fan and enjoyed antique car shows. Every spring and summer, he always had a big garden full of fresh vegetables that he would share with his friends, family and neighbors. Steve was very patriotic and looked forward to enjoying the 4th of July holiday every year. He was a loving son, wonderful brother, and devoted to his family.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Christiana Care's Heart and Vascular Center staff and the Accent Care Hospice staff who cared for Steve in his final days.
Steve was preceded in death by his father, Henry 'Hank" Kowalski in 2014. Steve is survived by his mother, Florence Kowalski; and his sister Christine Kowalski and her partner, Ali Samii.
A visitation will be held on Monday April 21st from 10 A.M. to 11 A.M. with funeral services to begin at 11 A.M. at the Mealey Funeral Home, 2509 Limestone Road Wilmington, DE 19808. Burial will follow at All Saints Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Ministry of Caring, 115 E 14th Street Wilmington, DE 19801.
