My sincere condolences to Steve´s family. We shared great times at USC in the mid 60´s....swimming & hangin´ out at the frat house..Maxcy Brotherhood. I truly enjoyed our time together & he was a genuine nice guy. Happy & fun-loving. Tried to "hook-up" for a 50th Reunion in 2018 but just couldn´t make it happen. RIP "brother" , always. .

Stephen Long - a great guy, a great swimmer and a great man. Humble and kind - always ready with a smile and laugh. Served his country in the United States Army in Vietnam. Member of Dieruff High School District XI championship swimming and diving team. Fun to be with at high school reunions. A leader in life. We will remember Stephen always. My condolences to Louise and family in this time of sorrow. Rest in peace, Stephen.

Steve was an amazing man and will be greatly missed! Neal and I will always remember our favorite trip with Steve and Louise... the Panama Canal transit cruise! Steve brought meaning to the trip with many interesting stories of his father´s life there (holding the record for catching the largest tarpon)!
We will always cherish the memories we have shared!! Our love and prayers to the family!

Very sorry for your loss. Everyone who was in Steve's presence came away with a smile, a true gift he shared. I met Steve when I first became a swimming official and always enjoyed working with him.

Steve and I were one of the group of classmates who lived in Midway Manor. He was my first date. His mother called my mother to see if I could go with Steve to the Daughters of American Revolution dance in Allentown. I did go with my fancy dress, white gloves and my Buster Brown new shoes. Steve was a special person who will always be in my heart.....

Mr Long always had the best laugh, dance moves, and kind smile! He was a true example of being humble and kind. I remember him introducing himself to new people as the janitor at a glue factory. I also remember the Speedo that was always hanging from his rear view mirror.
