Stephen Allen May

Steve May, age 67, of Waxhaw, North Carolina, passed away on December 27, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family.

Steve was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend whose presence filled every room with strength, knowledge, and quiet care. He married the love of his life, Diane May, on May 9, 1981, and together they built a life rooted in love, hard work, and family. Steve was a proud father to his three daughters, Jessica, Kristen, and Danielle, and a loving grandfather to eight cherished grandchildren: Brenden, Casen, Jayden, Jordan, Kaylie, Talon, Aaliyah, and Bella, each of whom brought him endless joy.

Steve is also survived by his loving siblings, Kathy, Tim, Christine, and Mary, with whom he shared a lifetime of memories, laughter, and strong family bonds.

Steve had a deep love for the outdoors and found happiness in golf, NASCAR, and especially working on cars. There was nothing he couldn't fix, and he did so willingly, always ready to lend a hand. Many memories were made around his pool, where family and friends gathered, laughed, and felt at home simply being together.

Known for being incredibly knowledgeable and well informed, Steve always seemed to have the answer to any question and a solution to any problem. He was a tireless worker who provided for his family with dedication and pride. Beneath his tough exterior was the biggest and softest heart. If anyone needed help, no matter the circumstance, Steve was there without hesitation.

Above all else, Steve loved his family. He lived life fully, generously, and with purpose. He will be remembered as an incredible husband, father, father-in-law, grandpa, brother, and friend to many. His legacy of love, strength, and selflessness will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

Steve May will be deeply missed and forever loved.
