Stephen Michel Obituary
Stephen Carl Michel, 58, of Parkersburg, WV passed away peacefully, December 4, 2025 at his residence with the compassionate care of Amedisys Hospice.
Son of Thomas C. Michel and the late Nancy K. Stamey, Stephen was born November 1, 1967 in Willoughby, Ohio. He graduated from Chardon High School and attended Bowling Green University. He was a hard worker, spending his life as a Heavy Equipment Operator and serving with the Hambden Fire Department. He enjoyed woodworking and had quite the green thumb, always tending to his lawn and garden.
He was preceded in death by his mother.
In addition to his father, those left to cherish his memory is his life partner, Shirley J. Basnett; two sisters, Kim Moore (Corey) and family, Jen Morris and family; one brother, Tim Michel and family; and dear friend, Michael Stalnaker.
A memorial service will take place Saturday, December 13, 2025 beginning at 2:00 PM at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home on Pike St. The family welcomes friends and those who knew Stephen from 12:00 PM until time of service.
