Stephen L. Milanak Sr.

1929 - 2025

Stephen Lawrence Milanak Sr., 96, of Kiski Township, passed away Sunday, Nov. 30, 2025, in The Ridge at Heritage Meadows Personal Care Home, Ford City. Born July 31, 1929, in East Vandergrift, he is the son of the late Joseph and Elizabeth Lejaua Milanak. A veteran of the U.S. Army, having served during the Korean War, he had been employed by Wean United as a moulder for 33 years until they closed in 1982. Stephen was Catholic by faith and enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, wood carving, and trips to the family camp in Marienville. He was a member of the East Vandergrift Slovak Club and the Vandergrift Golf Club. Survivors include three sons: Stephen (Beth Ann) Milanak Jr. of Ford City, Michael (Paula) Milanak of Reno, NV, and David Milanak of Markle. Five grandchildren, Mason Milanak, Laura (Nick) Craven, Zachary (Victoria) Milanak, Joshua (Paige) Milanak, and Tanner Milanak (Maggie Titus); and four great-grandchildren, Thomas and Willy Milanak, Jolene "Jo-Jo" Craven, and Cole Craven. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, E. JoAnne Milanak, in 2021; a sister, Mary Dolmajer; and two brothers, Joseph and John Milanak. Family and friends will be received from 4 p.m. till the time of a blessing service at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 4, 2025, with Fr. Alan N.
