Stephen Neshite Obituary

Published by Legacy on Dec. 12, 2025.
Youngstown - Stephen Richard Neshite, 67, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 7, 2025.

Stephen was born on October 6, 1958 in Youngstown, the son of Stephen and Irene Bires Neshite.

Stephen graduated in 1976 from Woodrow Wilson High School. While in high school, he attended Choffin Career Center, fostering his craft of auto body.

Stephen's unmistakable humor, his "I'll figure it out attitude," and his deep devotion to his family made life lighter, warmer, and a whole lot more memorable for everyone who knew him.

Stephen married the love of his life, Denise June Tropea on November 7, 1981. They shared 19 years of marriage before her passing on November 26, 2006.

Stephen built a life around hard work, skill, and a deep love for what he did. For over 25 years, Stephen worked in auto body and mechanics and quickly became known as the "best of the best." He took immense pride in restoring vehicles, quickly earning him the respect of everyone who saw his craftsmanship. After years spent in auto body, Stephen and his wife opened a Medical Transcription business together, a chapter he took immense pride in. He later continued his dedication to service and community through his work at Sweeney Buick where he retired, forming lasting friendships and was valued for his hard work and dedication.

Stephen was a proud and loving father of his two daughters, Nicole Flores (Aaron) and Natale Neshite (Ben). His role as "grandpa" was one he cherished deeply and he adored his grandchildren, Isairis, Ilyanise, Luka, and Antonio Flores. He is also survived by his mother, Irene Neshite; siblings, Diane Gondor, Darlene Sova, Donna Malloy (William), and Thomas Neshite (Lisa); and many cherished nieces, nephews and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his beloved and wife, Denise June Tropea Neshite, whom he missed dearly and now joins her in eternal rest; father, Stephen J. Neshite, stepdaughter, Kimber lee Kelly; and brothers-in-law, Stephen Gondor, and John Sova.

The family has entrusted their loved one to the professional care of Rossi Brothers and Lellio Funeral Home, 4442 South Ave. in Boardman, and will receive family and friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Monday, December 15, 2025, followed by a 7 p.m. funeral service.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested individuals send donations to Make-A-Wish Foundation, www.makeawishfoundation.com, to assist with granting wishes for children facing critical illnesses.

Family and friends are encouraged to offer prayers for the family and support by visiting the Book of Memories at www.rossifunerals.com.
