Steve, Joyce, and I at Coney in the 1950’s. “ Uncle Bud and Aunt Eddie” baby-sat for the 3 of us in the 50’s.

Ann and Matt,
Didn't know about Steve's passing until today.
You are all in our prayers.
Vince and I and our family have so many fond memories of your family across the street on Outlook.
May he Rest In Peace.

Steve was a wonderful friend when I was a kid living down the hill from the Overbecks on Paxton Avenue. It was always worth the climb up the hill to hang out with Steve in his backyard. My family owned Tristate Distributing Corp. I was very keen on Formula 1 racing so Steve and I had plenty to talk about, he liked having a girl around to talk to about engines.
I'll always remember him as a teen with his sleeves rolled up and grease on his hands as he tinkered with lawn mowers and car engines.
I'm so glad his radio show was popular around the country. Steve will be missed by people from coast to coast.

Had a huge amount of respect for Steve and always was surprised of how generous he was with his time to explain automotive things. We also talked about military things and he opened up about his experiences. I have been blessed to know him and his family.
