Stephen Nicholas Panas, of Londonderry, NH, passed away peacefully and surrounded by his family after a brave battle against cancer on September 15th 2025 at Dartmouth Hitchcock in Lebanon, NH.

Steve's death was preceded by his mother Sofia Panas; father William Panas; and brother James Panas.

He is survived by his wife Leona Panas; his three children William Panas (Jessica), Sofia Collacchi (Michael) and Nicholas Panas (Rachel); his beloved grandchildren Aria and Nicholas; his sister Martha (Ernest); his brother Theodore (Deborah); his nieces and nephews and their spouses Amy, Stephanie, William, Theodore, and Athena, along with many other cherished family and friends.

Steve grew up in Lowell where he met his wife Leona. They married in 1983 and moved to Londonderry, NH to start a family. He worked at Wang Laboratories as a warehouse supervisor for 28 years before becoming a custodian shift supervisor at the Londonderry School District. He and Leona shared a love for children and both enjoyed working at the school district together before Steve retired in August of 2025 after 19 years.

Steve will forever be remembered for his kindness, his generosity, his sense of humor, and his endless love for his family. Many will remember his annual Greek Easter Family Festival as a cherished family tradition. He had many hobbies, his favorite being buying, selling, and showing off his collectibles and antiques, and going to yard sales and flea markets with his wife and family to find beautiful things that needed a home. He was so generous, it was almost impossible to leave Steve and Leona's home empty handed. He enjoyed the thrill of a scratch ticket, and loved to buy them as gifts for others. His family has many fond memories of his love for collecting retro video games and pinball machines, he loved watching his children and grandchildren enjoy playing together. His grandchildren brought him so much love and joy, it overflowed to every child nearby. Every time he visited, everyone would get their present from Poulie, every child, family or not, picked out just for them with love.

Most of all Steve enjoyed spending time and building memories with his family. His love and pride for his wife, and the family they built together will carry on in our hearts forever.

In lieu of flowers his family requests donations to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.

Friends and family are invited to a wake at Dracut Funeral Home, 2159 Lakeview Avenue, Dracut, on Saturday, September 20th 2025 from 1 pm to 5 pm. His funeral service and interment will be held privately.
