Stephen Robert Pope, 63, of Fredericksburg, Texas, passed away on Thursday, December, 11, 2025, surrounded by family and friends.

A devoted husband and father, visionary entrepreneur, spirited adventurer, and keen problem solver, Stephen lived a life defined by curiosity, courage, and love.

Born on September 8, 1962, in Belleville, Ontario, Cananda, Stephen grew up with an insatiable desire to explore-whether that meant taking apart gadgets to see how they worked, dreaming up new business ideas, or imagining far-flung places to one day visit. That spark would become a lifelong calling.

In 1998, Stephen graduated with his master's in business administration from the Ivey Business School at Western University in London, Ontario, Canada, where he was recognized as an Ivey Scholar.

Stephen founded three successful companies: Dimensions, Inc, Core Objective, and Red Oak - an industry leading financial services compliance software company. Stephen's colleagues remember him as a bold thinker, kind leader, and an expert in developing and nurturing long-term client relationships.

Outside of work, Stephen's adventurous spirit shone even brighter. An avid pilot, sailor, and explorer, he approached every experience with enthusiasm and a zest for adventure. Stephen was known for his quick wit, sharp mind, and deep sincerity. Anyone who spent time with Stephen always felt seen and important.

Above all, Stephen cherished his family.

He is survived by his greatest love Jayne Elizabeth Pope (nee Towers) of Fredericksburg Texas, his children David Pope of London, Ontario, Canada, and Deanna Pope-Toth (Drew Toth) of Thorold, Ontario, Canada, grandson Gabriel Alexander Toth, mother Joan and step-father Ed Stairs and step-mother Rose Pope all of Belleville, Ontario, Canada, brothers Greg Pope of Belleville, Ontario, Canada, and Matthew Pope of Langford, BC, Canada, and brother-in-law Douglas Towers of Chatham, Ontario, Canada. He is predeceased by his father Robert Stephen Pope, mother-in-law Elizabeth Lackie Towers, and father-in-law Earl Henry Towers.

Stephen lived boldly and loved deeply. He had a profound love for life and the people in his life. Stephen taught those around him how to truly live with a full heart. Though he will be profoundly missed, his spirit of adventure, innovation, and kindness will continue to inspire all who knew him.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Bethany Preschool Building Fund.

A Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday December 16, 2025 10:00AM at the Hangar Conference Center in Fredericksburg, TX.
