Dec 5, 1938 - Feb 25, 2026
Stephen Robertson, born December 5, 1938, in Oceanside, California, lived fully until February 25, 2026, in Spokane Valley, Washington. He lived a life defined by service, devotion, and a sharp sense of humor that kept everyone on their toes. A proud retired Sergeant with the Washington State Patrol, Stephen served the people of Washington state with integrity and grit for 28 years, always giving 100 percent to the badge he wore and the community he protected.
At home, he was the steady heart of his family – a devoted husband of 67 years to the love of his life, Rosalie, proving that commitment isn't just a word but a daily choice. Together, they built a legacy that includes six children, Tracy, Troy, Todd (wife Ruth), Terill (husband Joe), Trent, Trina; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and Amy, his bonus daughter and faithful caregiver, who shared with him laughter, quiet moments, inside jokes, and his favorite song, Class of '57. His family will remember his generous spirit, solid work ethic, and calming presence.
Steve was a true do-it-yourself man who could fix, build, or craft just about anything. A gifted woodworker and an extraordinary artist, his hands created treasures that will live on in the homes and hearts of those who love him.
He will be deeply missed, affectionately remembered, and forever honored by the family and friends who were blessed to know him.
"Good bye cycle"…until we meet again.
