In loving memory of a great man. If it were not for Steve, I would not have gone to graduate school and gotten my PhD. I was working at the pharmacy school as a lab tech and Steve would loan me lab things and give me advice. He became a good friend and encouraged me to pursue my degree. I owe much of my own success to Steve who became a lifelong companion and mentor. He took my son Jason under his wing when he attended pharmacy school and became his friend as well. See attached photo. Me and my son have both had successful academic careers and are thankful to Steve. I have benefitted from Steve's empathetic and personal approach and used it with my own students. I will never forget him.
