I am so saddened to hear of Steve's passing. I have known him since I was in HS in Binghamton when he played in the graduate string quartets at Harper. He was always an inspiration in his cello playing and in his kindness. I last heard him play with the Prometheus Ensemble and was able to chat with him after a concert. My sympathy goes out to all who knew and worked with him and especially to his family. I will not be able to come to Binghamton tomorrow but I will be there in spirit. I will always remember his warmth and his kind personality.
