Stephen “Steve” Glen Swindle, born on January 4, 1959, in Blytheville, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on December 18, 2025, at AdventHealth Lake Wales. He was a cherished husband, father, brother, and son.
Steve had a varied career that included working in caster maintenance, farming, and insurance, as well as owning a bar. Outside of work, He enjoyed life to the fullest. Steve had a passion for fishing and often found joy sitting on his porch, visiting with friends. He was best known for always bragging about his daughters and his love for his family.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sherry Swindle; two daughters, Autumn Brown and her husband Jonathan of Little Rock, Arkansas, and Summer Grabert and her husband Matthew of Luling, Louisiana; his mother, Wanda Avis of Columbia, Missouri; his sister, Trina Powell and her husband Allen of Columbia, Missouri.
Steve was preceded in death by his father, Fred Swindle, and his sister, Nanette Teeter.
A visitation to honor Steve’s life will be held on December 22, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Marion Nelson Funeral Home in Lake Wales. Condolences can be sent to the family at www.marionnelsonfuneralhome.com.
