Stephen, affectionately known as Stevie, was born August 1, 1960, in Youngstown, the son of Stephen and Sally Holland Vasko.
He dedicated many years of his career to AMEX Tool and Die, until his retirement.
His passion for life extended beyond his work; he cherished the time spent playing and watching golf, proudly participating in a league at Dogwood Golf Course alongside his brother, Thomas.
A true lover of animals, Stevie had many beloved cats over the years, with his cherished companion Spooky remaining by his side. His playful storytelling included tales of his “ghost toe” and various adventures, reflecting his vibrant imagination and sense of humor.
With interests that ranged from fishing in his pond to watching classic black and white television shows and listening to the music of David Bowie, Stevie's life was enriched by diverse hobbies that brought him joy. Most importantly, he valued moments spent with his family and friends, sharing music and drinks while creating lasting memories.
Stevie is survived by his brother, Thomas (Rebekah) Vasko of Austintown; half-brother, Raymond (Lillian) Holland of Independence, MO; nieces, Tiffany (Justin) Makosky of Cleveland, Shawnee (Luke) Luetkemeyer of Peoria, IL, and Charity (Gregg) Martin of Bangor, ME; and nephew, Raymond Holland of Columbia, MO.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Stephen and Sally Vasko; half-brother, Harley Thomas Brown; and cousin, Michael Vasko.
A memorial service will be held in honor of Stevie on Saturday, January 10, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Boardman Park's Lariccia Family Building, located at 375 Boardman Poland Rd, Boardman, OH, 44512.
