Stephen Westfall Obituary

Published by Legacy on Jan. 13, 2024.
Stephen Bruce Westfall, 72, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on January 1, 2024. Stephen was a retired Aerospace Engineer from Lockheed Martin, a loving husband, father and grandfather. He had many interests, but especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He loved being outdoors, taking walks with his wife Adele of 47 years, climbing mountains with family and friends, and working on various projects around the home.
Stephen was born in Boulder Colorado on April 23, 1951. Raised by his parents, Cecil and Marion Westfall, Stephen grew up in a loving family that included 5 other siblings; David, John, Ruthie, Kim and Susie. Stephen graduated from Colorado School of Mines with a degree in math, and a minor in mining. Stephen was a man of many talents, working in various fields, building homes in Ouray, and ultimately working the rest of his career at Lockheed Martin as an Aerospace engineer. Adele and Stephen wed on June 18th, 1976. They had two children, Nathanael and Heidi. Stephen and Adele settled in the foothills of the Denver metro area.
Stephen loved many things, but none surpassed his love for God and his family. Stephen was an elder and member of Foothills Bible Church, a church his family has called home for over a quarter of a century. His life exemplified what being a Godly man meant.
He loved to spend time in the outdoors, whether it was hiking, camping, road trips or motorcycle rides. He also was a lover of music, playing many instruments which included the bagpipes. He was also a man who kept busy with projects at home. His engineering job translated to home projects where he would work with precision to make everything turn out just right. Stephen was known for his quick wit, he loved to make others smile and laugh.
Stephen was preceded in death by his parents Cecil and Marion Westfall. He is survived by his wife, Adele; children, Nathanael Westfall (and his family), Heidi Minaga (and her family); his brothers and sisters, David, John, Ruthie, Kim and Susie.
A celebration of life will be held February 3rd, 2024 at 10 am, at Foothills Bible Church, 6100 S. Devinney Way, Littleton, CO 80127.

Adele and family. Keith just saw this on Facebook. We are so sad for you all. We can´t believe that Steve has passed. We always enjoyed your friendship and having you all as neighbors. Steve was a wonderful man and I can´t imagine how you are dealing with this. We always enjoyed seeing Steve on his motorcycle, jeep and other vehicles overs the years. With our deepest sympathy Keith and Laura Darrow
