Recently many of the old coaching staff from Walton got together for a lunch. It was evident that a face and personality was missing....Steve's. But we know you were probably there in spirit and memories of years gone by. Bob

I was a member of Coach Andersons team from 1980-1984. I remember vividly every day at wrestling practice. He brought out the best of us each and everyday. "If you don´t bring your best.. how can you be the best". My fondest memory was as a Senior.. I was taking drivers safety for a rate deduction and he was the teacher. I was in the backseat as a younger driver tried... lol. All I heard next was "Mac..get up here I need a coffee now!!!" well.. of course he got his coffee quickly and I got an A. God `s speed Coach...

I was just thinking about high school after watching a show on TV and thought about Coach Anderson. It took me a minute to remember his last name and thought I would Google him. He gave me a hard time at Walton as a freshman, but we were best buddies when I was a junior. He was always pleased with himself when he said something clever. It makes me laugh out loud. RIP Coach!

My thoughts and prayers are with Steve´s family. I worked as a fellow teacher and coach at Walton HS from 1980-88.
