Steve the greatest fast baseball pitcher who ever played. Sorry for the family loss our prayers are for his family.

I just heard today about your passing. I’ve read of your exploits for 30+ years. I’ve educated many b-ball fans regarding your “arm” and unearthly fastball . RIP Dalko, you’re starting tomorrow at the field of dreams. I bet Teddy Ballgame takes the day off. My deepest condolences to your family.

I was a pitcher and played in the Baltimore Oriole organization in the early 1970s. Cal Ripken, Sr. was my manager at AA Asheville, N.C. and he told us stories about Steve Dalkowski being the fastest pitcher he had ever seen. Cal Ripken, Sr. caught Steve Dalkowski when they were both in the minors with Baltimore. To the fastest ever, Rest In Peace.

My name is Chuck Symeon and I had the unforgetable experience of playing with Steve on the Aberdeen Pheasant team in 1958. Needless to say, Steve was quite the character and without doubt threw a fasttball quicker than any one I ever saw. Over the years he was a minor league legend as his name was brought up by many who knew him or heard of him. Since I was a Stamford, Conn. native Steve and I had a lot to talk about.
My prayers are with Steve and his entire Family. May the Good Lord take god care of him.
