Steven B. Harris

1968 - 2025

Steven Bradley Harris, 57, passed away unexpectedly on December 11, 2025, at his residence in Greenwood, IN. He had moved back to his hometown in May 2025 after spending 12 years living in Texas.

Steve was born on May 25, 1968, at St. Francis hospital in Beech Grove, IN to Jay and Marlene (Fisher) Harris.

He was a carpenter by trade and framed many homes in Central Indiana, particularly in Johnson and surrounding counties. He enjoyed his work and took great pride in it. Steve loved to play golf, bowl, listen to music and watch all types of sports on TV, especially the Masters Tournament and the Indiana Hoosiers. He was beyond thrilled to see them win the Big Ten football championship. Steve was always willing to help others whether it be with home improvement projects or something as simple as cutting grass or shoveling snow.

He had a great sense of humor and made those around him laugh. We are thankful for the time we had with Steve and take comfort in knowing he is now at peace in the arms of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Steve was preceded in death by his father, Jay, and his niece Brittany Smith.

He is survived by his mother, Marlene, of Greenwood, daughter Julianna, of Irving, TX, brother Gregg (Sherrie), of Indianapolis, IN, sister Jill, of Franklin, IN as well as nephews Josh, Cole and Andrew, nieces Ava and Kaley, and great nephews Camden and Cannon.

A graveside service will be 1:00pm, Monday, December 22, 2025, at Greenwood Cemetery, 620 West Main Street, Greenwood, IN. Pastor Doug Bohall of Honey Creek Church will be officiating the service.
