Funeral services for Steve Lewis are Saturday, October 12, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at McKenzie Church of Christ. The family will receive friends at the church from 12:00 p.m. until service time. Interment is at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Brother Chance Steen, Brother John Forgy and Brother Jim Roberts will officiate.
Mr. Lewis,76 years old, died at his residence in McKenzie. He is a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force, a member of McKenzie Church of Christ and has been in sales ever since his days in college when he would sell spaghetti dinners to classmates, before retiring he sold sports memorabilia in his shop Who’s on First in Chattanooga. He was born in Memphis on April 16, 1948, to Leon and Peggy Bowden Lewis.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years Leslie Holden Lewis, a son Steve Lewis and wife Christy of Chattanooga, a sister Sara Elizabeth Lane and husband Michael of Watauga, TN, one granddaughter Cate Lewis- Sewell and husband Frank and four grandchildren Mary Madeline Sewell, David Beck Sewell, Sophie Grace Sewell and Finley Jane Sewell.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and sister Linda Lewis Bogle.
