Newcomer Funeral Home - West Metro ChapelSteve D. Parker, a beloved father, grandfather, and brother, passed away on October 3, 2025, in Denver, Colorado, at the age of 66. Born on April 16, 1959, in Wellington, Kansas, Steve created a life filled with love, laughter, and unshakeable bonds with those around him.
Throughout his working life, Steve dedicated 35 years to the intricate craft of plating circuit boards. A man of determination and skill, he took pride in his work, finding satisfaction in the details that allowed him to contribute to the technological advancements of our world. He complemented his professional life with a solid educational foundation, having completed an Electricians Journeyman course, which underscored his commitment to his career.
Beyond his professional achievements, Steve served proudly in the United States Navy in the late 1970s. This chapter of his life exemplified his dedication to service and honor, and it instilled in him a sense of resilience that would guide him in all aspects of his life.
Steve was known as a jokester, whose humor enlivened gatherings and turned ordinary moments into cherished memories. He loved his family deeply and was always pleasant to those outside of his inner circle, revealing a warm and welcoming spirit. His strong-willed nature and sometimes hard personality made him a force to be reckoned with, but his heart shone through in his unwavering support for the ones he loved. He took immense pride in his grandson, Zachary, who brought him joy and fulfillment.
In the quiet moments away from work, Steve enjoyed discussing sports, especially the revered Denver Broncos. He found relaxation and happiness in fishing and reminisced fondly about his younger days when he golfed and skied. These hobbies offered him a sense of peace and connection with nature, allowing him to recharge and share experiences with family and friends.
Steve leaves behind a loving family: his son, Matthew; his daughter, Melody; his dear grandson, Zachary; and his siblings, Greg (Cherri) and Kirby (Barbara). Their lives were enriched by his presence, and they will carry his legacy with them as they remember the laughter and lessons he imparted.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Bobby D. and Nelda Parker, whose spirits will continue to guide him in their absence.
A visitation will be held on October 21, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Newcomer Funeral Home, West Metro, located at 901 S Sheridan Blvd, Denver, CO. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM.
