Mr. Steve Rucker Jr. was born March 30, 1955 to Rosie Lee Smith and Steve Rucker Sr in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. He departed this earthly life on Saturday, April 19, 2025, at Nashville Center For Rehabilitation and Healing in Nashville, Tennessee.
Steve was baptized and confessed his belief in Jesus Christ at an early age under Pastor Carl Marable and later moved his membership to Galilee Missionary Baptist Church in North Nashville.
He was employed by the Nissan Plant and the Slaughter House in Smyrna for many years.
Steve's hobbies were cooking, watching WWE Wrestling, boxing and football. His favorite football team was The Miami Dolphins. He also enjoyed spending time with his Family.
Steve was preceded in death by his parents Rosie Lee Smith and Steve Rucker Sr., siblings, sister, Fannie Richardson, brothers, Fred Smith and Tommy Lee White, grandson, Kevin Baylock, great, granddaughter, Honesty Williams, nieces, Theresa Richardson, Michelle Waters and Keinitha Miller. Great, niece Dominique Richardson.
Those left to cherish his memories, very devoted and dedicated, daughter, LaTonya Murphy, daughter, Shirreca Garner, grandsons, Donte, Deshanta, Monolito, Ivan and LaVonta. granddaughters, Ja’mesha, Keondra, Shamia, Kevionna, Ivanonna, Crystal and Ashanti. 28 Great Grandkids. A very devoted and dedicated brother, James (Constance) Richardson. sisters, Dorothy Wells and Delores Kincaid, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins. Close Friends Dorris Tigg, Lucille Brooks, Sara Williamson and the Covington Family.
