Steve Sloan, passed away on March 18, 2025, in Wichita, Kansas. Born on October 13, 1957, in Garden City, Kansas. He graduated from Garden City High School and went on to earn a bachelor’s degree from Wichita State University. Following his education, Steve devoted the majority of his career to the banking industry, eventually concluding his professional journey with Protection One.
Outside of his professional life, Steve enjoyed the finer things in life. He had a variety of interests that brought him joy. He loved smoking cigars, savoring German beer, enjoyed classic cars, watching old movies, and immersing himself in classical music. His affinity for cats was also well-known; they provided him with companionship and comfort throughout his life.
Steve is survived by his brother Jim and his wife, Joenne Sloan, his sister-in-law, Susan Sloan, and his nephew, Sean Sloan. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Joyce Sloan, and his brother, Lance Sloan.
A visitation with family will be held on March 24, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Broadway Mortuary, located at 1147 S. Broadway, Wichita, Kansas. The funeral service will follow beginning at 1:00 PM. Steve will be laid to rest at Resurrection Cemetery, with burial services commencing at 2:00 PM.
