Cindy I am so sorry to hear about Steve. I know it was a few years ago but I was downsizing and found some memories of Steve. We were friends for many years but eventually lost track of one another in the sixties as we were both following our dreams and never caught up with each other after that, except for news we would here through mutual friends. He had sent a message that he had met a wonderful girl, which I assume as you. He always had a sense of direction and had a solid base. I hope you are doing well and I am very sorry that a wonderful soul has left this world. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Cindy, We are so very sorry to hear of your loss. We celebrate your 37 years of love and friendship finding it surprising that so many years have passed. There never seems to be enough time to share when your spouse is also your BFF. Our deepest condolences.

Cindy, I am very sad to learn of Steve's passing. Along with that sadness comes some great memories of times spent with Steve. Whether traveling together back and forth to Russia or meeting for lunch in Anchorage, we always had great conversations and always ended up talking about the similarities of our youth - two Russian boys who immigrated from China and ended up in Alaska through totally different routes. I will remember him always with warm affection.

He was incredibly knowledgeable about Alaska and world affairs, and always had a global vision for Alaska's future. Steve will be missed! My deepest condolences and heartfelt prayers to your family!!
