He was preceded in death by his parents, Juanita Waller Williams and Redell Williams, Sr. He is survived by his daughter, Ashley Williams of Katy, Texas and his son Stevie Williams; his brothers, Sidney Williams of Jacksonville, Florida and Redell Williams of Syracuse, New York; his sisters, Tena Williams of Syracuse, New York and Kellee Gibbs of Atlanta, Georgia; a grandson, Amari Williams of Katy, Texas; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Steve joined the Army after attending high school and college. He was honorably discharged in 1971 and received a purple heart. He worked in retail for years as an assistant manager and manager with many companies. Steve relocated to Georgia in 1998 and here he retired years later.
He was an avid San Francisco 49er's fan and enjoyed time with family, friends, watching football, dancing, bowling, traveling, and of course playing dominos with the guys.
A memorial service honoring Steve's life will be held on Saturday, October 18th 11:00 AM at Davis-Struempf Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends before the service from 10-11 AM.
