Steven Blaushild

I knew Steven at Lake Forest College. I remember him as a chess player, with his wooden board & pieces, lounging gracefully on the lawn. He reminded me of an Arabian horse, finely featured, vital. It was the last semester of my senior year. We spent some time together. I will always connect him to some favorite songs we listened to, some comics that were in vogue then, Dr. Stephen Strange. We shared no classes, he was studying physics, I was a Spanish major but for a brief time our paths crossed. I am sorry to hear of his passing. I always wondered what had become of him. I heard once through his brother in VT that he was doing well and was glad to know it. He was taken far too soon.
