Steven L. Block

I met Mr. Block as a wonderful client at PNC Bank in Bexley in the early 2000's. He was really one of my favorite business clients. I became one of his favorite customers at Block's Bagels at Broad and McNaughten. Now, every time I pass that location I think of him and our many pleasant exchanges about life as we chatted in friendship.

A great loss thoughts and prayers to Lisa and family

I just heard of Mr. Block's passing. I have very fond memories of Mr. Block, a dear customer at PNC Bank in Bexley in early 2000-2004. I always enjoyed our banking interaction. He was always friendly, witty and one of those customers one just looked forward to seeing. I would also see him often at Block's Bagels when I would stop in to buy their delicious bagels, cream cheese and more. I know this is a tremendous loss for many and my prayers are with you all.

I received the news today of Steve's Passing. My sympathies to Lisa and The Entire Block Family. my thoughts and prayers are with you in this most difficult time. I am proud to have known Steve and enjoyed our conversations.

My daughter Sara Boyer just told me today she learned of Steven's passing. He employed Sara at the Broad street store while she was in high school at Hartley. There was never a day that I walked into that store when Steve didn't greet me with a smile and funny comment about my daughter! Sara enjoyed working for him very much. He was such a big presence and I am sure he will be missed greatly by many. Thoughts and prayers for Family and loved ones.

So sorry to hear about Steven. Our family has known the Block family since the 70´s. We will miss him.

My condolences to Steve´s family. I met Steve years ago through our friend Mike Calif We had many lunches together over time. I worked for Penske and did business with both Steve and Mike.
I will miss his fun loving ways.

Lisa, the first time I had met you was at my home and I said "I know Steve!" You said, "Yep, everyone seems to knows Steve" and rolled your eyes in a mock exasperation that hid a little pride. I never forgot how appropriate that was- and we all loved him too. I´m so so sorry for your broken heart all of your beautiful kids, grand babies, and Steve´s dad

I am so sad to hear of Steve´s passing. I have known Steve since grade school throughout junior high and high school. You will be greatly missed! Lisa, please keep in touch as you go through this. I am truly sadden by the news of Steve's passing. I am reflecting over the years and although we have not been in touch with each other, I still fondly think of our lives over the years. I remember Steve and his family as far back as when we lived in the Broadleigh apartments off of Ruhl and Gould. Our families transitioned to the east side at the same time. From Yorktown JR High to Walnut Ridge, our lives and those off all of our friends were truly great times. Although I did not run in the same group as Steve, he was always engaging, friendly, and had a smile to one of my silly jokes. I remember on our visits to Columbus over the years running into him while picking up bagels for my parents. We were all a collective family. I know he will be missed. Lisa, my thoughts are with you and your family and also to Mr. Block, Alan, and the rest of your family. Please know Steve was a part of all of our lives.
