Steven M. Brackey, age 71 of Forest City, died unexpectedly on Monday, May 9, 2022.
Private family services will be held with inurnment at the Synod Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery in Lake Mills.

Steven Mark Brackey was born on October 17, 1950 in Forest City, Iowa, the son of Frances Brackey. He was baptized and confirmed at the Synod Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lake Mills. Steve attended and graduated from Lake Mills High School in 1969.
Following graduation he began working at Winnebago Industries in Forest City. Steve worked his way up, starting as a production worker to customer service to eventually a position in product training. He worked for Winnebago over 38 years. In more recent years, Steve was a driver for Winnebago, delivering their motorhomes throughout the United States and Canada.
Steven married Beverly Smith on July 5, 1980 in St. Paul, Minnesota. They made their home in the Forest City area their entire married life.
In addition to seeing the country with motorhome deliveries, Steve enjoyed snowmobiling, watching NASCAR races every weekend, and even dabbled in auctioneering.
His survivors include a daughter, Angela (Eric) Froistad of White Bear Lake, MN; two sons, Norman (Kirsten) Brackey of Mason City and Tyler Brackey of Glens Falls, NY; a brother Leroy Brackey of Lake Mills; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Steve was preceded in death by his mother Frances; and five siblings, Bernice Palmer, Elaine Sevley, Roger Brackey, Janice Winklbauer, and Ferne Jones.
