Steven Lee Brown, 55 of Bucyrus passed away unexpectedly following a brief illness on Friday February 21, 2025, at Bucyrus Community Hospital. Steve was born January 14, 1970, in Galion to Dale Brown of Mt. Gilead, OH and the late Eva M. “Susie” Brown. He was also preceded in death by daughter Melody Ruth Brown.
Steve is also survived by wife Ruth Lewis; daughters Michelle (Molly) Brown of Twinsburg and Kristy (Josalyn) Brown of Columbus; his daughter’s mother, former wife Debbie Beck; brother Dale (Mitzi) Brown Jr.; sisters Tracey (Daniel) Cotsmire and Peggy (Michael) Brown; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Steve graduated from Northmor High School in 1989 and has worked at American Wire in Marion for over 25 years. He enjoyed working on cars, NASCAR, riding motorcycles, fishing, and target shooting. Steve was a family man and would help anyone in need and made people smile.
The family will receive friends at the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home on Tuesday from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 am with burial to follow in Oakwood Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy can be left at www.munzpirnstill.com
