I started in the Peerless pressroom in 1990 so I meet Steve in passing around the shop. He wasn't a big talker so when he did say something it was Usually pretty important to him. We Eventually started setting dies together where I got to know him better. He would talk highly of his wife and kid and later on his grandkids . He was slow to anger but he would definitely let you know what you did to upset him. Steve also liked pranks. One time our fellow worker hid our die carts' so Steve decided we needed to wrap his forklift from top to bottom in plastic wrap. He was really excited about moving to Missouri and working with his family. When Steve left Peerless we lost a dedicated and hard worker. I'm deeply saddened for your loss.
