Steven J. Carlson

Steven J. Carlson, age 68 of Tipp City, passed away on Saturday January 28, 2023. As an organ donor he was able to give life with the donation of his kidneys. He was born December 2, 1954 in Washington, D.C., the son of the late Colonel Robert E. and Margaret V. (Fils) Carlson.
Steven was previously employed with McKesson Pharmaceuticals, spent the majority of his career with M&M Restaurant Supply in warehousing and maintenance, and more recently he was employed with Procter and Gamble. Above all else, family and friends were most important to Steven and he valued the many people who made an impact on his life.
Steven was preceded in death by his father; brother, John, and sister-in-law, Sandy; niece, Suzanne Carlson; and his in-laws, Myrtle and Jack Pelphrey.
Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Deborah; two children, Jessie Carlson and Jamie Carlson; granddaughter, Josie; his mother, Margaret; two brothers, James, Mark (Kathy); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other extended family and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday February 11, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. at the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn, Rev. Joe Hinds officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until the time of service at the funeral home.
