Steven Lance Cocking

I first met Steve thru my dad. They were partners at one point in their careers and became best friends and brothers over time. The first time I met Steve, it was in a game of fortnite. Over the next 7 years, Steve and I became great friends and spent many many nights online playing fornite or call of duty. Ill always be grateful to Steve for being like a second dad to me. Steve was simply just a great guy eith a great sense of humor. Im gonna miss the hell out of him but im so grateful for all the time I did get. My heart goes out to his family for their loss and I'll always look out for them because I know he'd so the same for me.

I was having a tough few months and was spending the night at my papa's house, Steve's best friend. We were playing a video game together and he asked me about how life was, I explained how I didn't know what I was doing and that I was worried about high school, my job and ect. Steve told me to take everything as it comes to me, don't waste time worrying about things that aren't even happening yet. We would also always go back and forth and I would always win by making fun of his last name haha. Rest in peace Steve, you're so missed.

Steve was an amazing person. Quick-witted, kind, and always up for a laugh, I was glad to call him friend - family.

I´m from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. I didn´t know Steve in the real world, but we shared many parallels. A husband, father, dog lover and a gamer.

I found Steve through a friend and we enjoyed playing games together to unwind from the hustle bustle of life. He was a good soul and loved his family dearly.

May the family find comfort in the memory of a great man and may Steve rest in peace.
