Steven Michael Daffron

Steven Michael "Mike" Daffron, age 65, of Coal City, Indiana passed away Saturday, April 12, 2025 at his residence. He was born in Oakland City, Indiana on June 28, 1959 to George and Linda (Ross) Daffron. Mike retired from Cook Medical in Bloomington, Indiana. He enjoyed spending time with his family, blogging about old steel bridges in Indiana, sports, music and movies.
Mike is survived by his mother, wife, Penny Gonser of Coal City; children, Michael Gonser Jr. (Brandi), Nickole Kay (Aaron), Heather Eads (Derek), and Ethan Daffron (Adrian); grandchildren, Caden and Nolan Gonser, and Dakota Eads; siblings Brian Daffron (Daphnee), Stacy Skaggs (Mike), and Jason Daffron.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Funeral services for Mike will be held on Monday, April 21, 2025 at 2:00 pm at the West & Parrish & Pedigo Funeral Home, 105 N. Montgomery Street, Spencer, Indiana 47460.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 11:00 am until time of the service at 2:00 pm.
Burial will follow the service at Steubenville Cemetery in Owen County.
