Steven J. Driza Sr.

Steven J. Driza, Sr. passed away October 21, 2023. He was born May 15, 1936, in the Czech Republic to Miroslav and Marie Driza. He was raised in Chicago, IL and graduated from Saint Mel High School.
Steven had been married to his wife, Dolly (Dolores) for 62 years. They met at a Chicago carnival and were married on May 24, 1958. Steven was in the Army Reserve and attended DeVry Institute of Technology. He was an Electronics Technician and worked at Western Electric and AT&T.
Steven belonged to the Sportsmans Club in Del Webb Sun City and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and skeet shooting. He also belonged to the Computer Club. In his retirement he took up golf.
Steven and Dolly greatly enjoyed boating over the years. The family belonged to the Sandbar Boat Club early on. Steven particularly enjoyed trick waterskiing and participated in the boat shows.
Steven was a great husband and outstanding father and friend to all. He was very kind-hearted, loved animals and loved to laugh - he was always ready with a joke. He also was very handy and could fix anything around the house.
Steven is survived by his daughter, Suzanne Driza; sons, Steven (Renee) Driza, Jr. and Scott (Debra) Driza; grandchildren, Christy (Brenden) Miller, Carrie Driza, Ryan and Dylan Fadden, Connor and Finley Driza and four great grandchildren, James, Landon, Logan and Alex. He was preceded in death by his parents, Miroslav & Marie Driza; wife, Dolly (Dolores) Driza and brother, Mark Driza.
