Steven "Stevie" Ford

Steve, affectionally known to many as "Stevie" was born to the late Sherman and Barbara Jean Ford on January 19, 1966, in Oceanside, California. Steve accepted Jesus Christ at an early age and suddenly transitioned this life peacefully in his sleep on October 26, 2025, at his home.

Steve attended the public school system and graduated from Foothill High School in Bakersfield, California. He went on to work in the service industry, holding supervisor positions throughout his career.

Steve was always the life of the party and was often heard singing as loud as his voice would allow him. Steve was social and loved spending time with family and friends having fun.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister India Corbet; and nephew Shaza Davis. Steve leaves to cherish his memory his only child born to him, J'Kiya Ford (D'Angelo); his wife Dwanetta Jackson Ford; two grandsons, Kyree and Kenyen; a brother with whom he resided, Anthony Ford (Jacqueline); two sisters, Lisa Smith (Horace) and Sonia Williams (Daniel); aunt Karen Miller; father and mother in law, John and Deborah Carlyle; sister in law Deshawna Day (Shawn); brother in law Daniel Corbet; close friends Edmund Johnson, Joe, and Tyler; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in laws and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at Covenant Funeral Service, Stafford.
