Steve passed away unexpectedly on July 15, 2025 at age 43. Preceded in death by his mother, Sarah VanDeusen, and his brother, Erik Fowler.
He is lovingly remembered by his father, Ken Fowler (Diane); his brother, Brian Fowler (Hani Ali); cherished nieces and nephews, Iesa, Isaiah, Jennah, and Idriis; loving cousins from the VanDeusen family and many dear friends.
Steve studied percussion under Ruth Cahn at the Eastman School of Music; his dedication and skill earned him a full scholarship to Bucknell University, where he continued to develop his musical gift and share it with others. He was an occasional and proud performer with the Irondequoit Concert Band. Steve continued his education at the Simon School of Business earning his Master's Degree.
Outside of music, Steve had a deep love for fishing and golfing, finding peace and happiness at the water's edge or on the golf course. Steve had a sharp wit and a love of comedy that could light up any room. His laughter was infectious, his heart sincere, and his presence unforgettable.
Family and friends are invited to call on Monday, July 21st from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at Miller Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc. (3325 Winton Rd. South, Rochester, NY 14623).
Interment will be held privately.
