Steven R. Frohling

Steven R. Frohling Born March 19, 1970, in Woodstock, IL. Died August 4, 2025, in Barrington, IL. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Steven (Steve) R. Frohling. He passed away peacefully surrounded by family. Steve was a 1988 graduate of Woodstock High School. He was a member of the Woodstock and Crystal Lake Jaycees. Steve loved the outdoors, fishing, and hunting. He also enjoyed playing games and road trips. He loved his family and friends and will be missed by many. He always had a smile on his face and a great sense of humor. Steve is survived by his mother, Mary; his stepsons, Ryan and Jesse Brown; and their mother, Kristi Frohling; sisters, Laurie (Rob) Jasinski and Melisa (Brian) Sherwin; brothers, Dan (Emily) and James (Mary) Frohling; many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his friend, Jenn Sabre and her sons Nick and Matt Ott. He was preceded in death by his father, Larry; and grandparents, Harlen and Luella Rasmusen; and Albert and Elvera Frohling. A visitation will be held for Steve on Saturday August 16, 2025, at St John's Lutheran Church 6821 Main St Union, IL 60180 from 9:30 until the service at 11:30. A luncheon at the church will follow. Burial will be private.
