Steven Lynn Gaillard of Pleasant Grove, Utah, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family.
He was a devoted husband, father, and Papa. Steven and his beloved wife, JoDee, shared 50 wonderful years of marriage filled with love and commitment. Steven proudly served his country in the United States Air Force and carried that same sense of loyalty throughout his life.
He is survived by JoDee and their children: Jennifer (Tim) Leach, Aimee (Dustin) Hoover, WinDee (Jason) Maughan, and Stevenn Gaillard. He was a proud Papa to 30 grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all of whom brought him immense joy. He is also survived by his brother, Don Gaillard.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Elma Gaillard, and his sister, Dianne Jensen.
Steven had a zest for life and a passion for adventure. He loved golf, fishing, puzzles, treasure hunting, 4-wheeling, camping, and was a hunter and champion bowler. He once hit a hole in one while golfing and a perfect 300 score in bowling - milestones that brought him great pride.
He also enjoyed game shows and board games, especially when shared with family. A natural word smith, Steven's love for language and poetry shone through in the quiet rhythm and depth of his thoughts and words. He moved through life with a very quiet reverence, a gentle strength that quietly inspired everyone he met. He found happiness in the great outdoors and cherished every moment spent with his loved ones.
Papa will be remembered for his fun-loving spirit, sense of humor, and the love he gave so freely. His legacy lives on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at 11:00 am in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery, 550 North 100 West, Pleasant Grove, UT 84062.

He walked where rivers bend and sigh,
Beneath the vast and open sky,
With steady hands and eyes that knew

The joy of earth, the morning dew
With rod in hand or bow held high
He watched the falcon wheel and fly
Through forests deep and mountain air

He found a kind of silence there
A hole-in-one, a perfect game
Not for the glory, not for fame
But for the joy of doing well

Of stories only he could tell
A wordsmith with a gentle grace
He found the rhyme in every place
In puzzles, poems, and games well-played
His quiet wisdom softly stayed

He laughed with ease, with humor bright
A steady flame, a guiding light
To family, he gave his all
The kind to catch you when you fall

Now in the wind, we hear his song
In rustling leaves, he moves along
A life well-lived, a spirit free
In every heart, his legacy

We hold you close within our hearts; and there you will remain
To walk with us throughout our lives until we meet again.
