Another memory is how much time he spent with me during my visits. He always responded to my calls. I miss him an awful lot. The practice he left behind is no longer the same. A toast to Dr. Geller

Dr. Geller became my primary care physician over 2 years ago. I was very sick and I had not chosen a primary care in this area. He was recommended by my Home Health care nurse after my emergency hospitalization . He was the best. He listened and called me personally for every lab test or any treatment plan. He was very busy yet so thorough. I was just trying to book an appointment and found out the sad news. I will definitely miss seeing him as my primary care dr.

Dr. Geller was an amazing Doctor. I first met him right out of his residency in the 1980s and he was my Primary Care Physician for almost 40 years. Yes, 4 decades. During that time I watched him grow from a young man in his 20s, to a very well respected member of the medical community. It was clear to me all those years ago he was going to make a material difference in the lives of many people. I will miss him and my thoughts and prayers go out to his family, friends, co-workers and the many patients like me who had the privilege of knowing him.

Dr Geller has been my Mom´s PCP for years. Over the past few months as she has had some memory problems, I´ve accompanied her to 2 appts. He was SO nice and went above and beyond for every question, concern and gave me great advice on helping her. All of this in 2 appointments!! He helped us with forms in 1 day that my dad´s PCP´s office needed 4 phone calls and 2+ weeks to complete. My mom will miss him dearly. I would love to wish his family love and strength. What an absolute blessing he was to this world and the people in it. Thank you for sharing him with us.

Today I had an appointment with Dr. Geller @ 12:00 noon in Columbia office!
My husband and I have been Dr. Gellers patient's for more than 25 years. We followed him from his office in route 108 in Ellicott City to his office in Elkridge , and recently to his new office in Columbia. He was our friends and more like a family member to us. It is big loss for our community and all patients remember him as a nice person, good doctor, and a friend.
Our condolences to his family, friends, and patients.

This is such sad news! My husband and I became Dr. Geller's patients back in the 90's when he was recommended to us by an ER nurse at HCGH. I can still hear his voice congratulating me on my answering machine, "you are certainly pregnant!" He was so thorough and caring, knew so much about treating my husband's diabetes, and saved his life at least a couple of times. He even pep-talked me through the uh, adventure of having teen daughters. Dr. Geller left such a legacy that will be fondly remembered by so many.

Dr. Geller was my Primary Care Physician since 2004, when I was a newly diagnosed Type II Diabetic patient. He cared for me magnificently, and I am thankful for him. I might not be alive today, but for him.
I am sure that he is now resting comfortably in God's tender Hands.
The Lord giveth, and the Lord taketh away. Blessed be the Name of the Lord.
And let us say, Amen.

I am so shocked and saddened to just learn of Dr. Geller's sudden death. I have been a patient of his for almost 30 years and even though I moved to Owings Mills, he was still my doctor. He saved my life twice, once when I had a heart attack and didn't know it, and again when my appendix ruptured while at his office. Dr. Geller was a true mensch! May his family and friends be comforted by the love that surrounds them. I am truly sorry.

I´ve played tennis with Steve for about 9 years - we took the cardio tennis classes together at Green Spring Racquet Club and then at Coppermine Bare Hills. He was always very sociable with the group, and a good tennis player - just a good guy.

He talked often of his family and was obviously a very proud dad.

The whole group is very fond of Steve and he will be missed. My condolences to Steve´s family at this heartbreaking time.

Dear Geller Family,

I was deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Dr. Geller, who has been my primary care physician for over 30 years. He embodied the highest standards of professionalism, always combining kindness, thoroughness, and exceptional tact with a wonderful sense of humor.
In a time when it´s rare to find doctors who excel both in their clinical expertise and their people skills, Dr. Geller was a remarkable exception. His ability to diagnose accurately and his compassionate approach made him an extraordinary physician.
As a retired Family Doctor myself, I can truly appreciate just how exceptional he was. Our conversations went beyond medical matters; we often shared stories about our families and enjoyed discussing his daughters' achievements and aspirations. These moments of personal connection made our doctor-patient relationship both professional and genuinely enjoyable.
Words cannot fully convey the sorrow I feel over the loss of such a great doctor. I am profoundly grateful for all the care he provided throughout the years.
With deepest sympathy,
Lawrence Silverberg

I have been a patient of Dr. Geller since 1996. I was teasing him just a couple months ago about this being "our" second office move, which he laughed and said "our last". This went through my mind when I received the notice of his death. A great doctor and I will definitely miss seeing him every 3 months. Much too young. Godspeed Dr. Geller

Dr Geller has been my PC for 35 yrs. Ever since he was on RT 108. We always talked about his daughters and my children. As of recent he told me about his flight to Amsterdam and the cruise that followed. I will miss your medical advise but heaven is a better place with you there. RIP

I was stunned to learn of Dr. Geller's passing--had seen him 9 days before for my 4 month patient follow-up. On that day he was as always- an intuitive physician, to the point, knowledgeble, honest, a bit blunt in a caring way. I relied on him for 22 years. He saved my life by snapping at me to get a cancer test which I'd been procrastinating on, test was positive but with treatment I was cured. His energy for work amazed me. The world is less for him gone, but the memories are inspiring. From patient Sarah Kemble

Dr Geller was the first primary care physician I met when I started my practice in Columbia almost 15 years ago. He was so warm and welcoming, and helped me out so much in the beginning and throughout The years. He was also helpful to my husband when he started his psychiatry practice as well. We are both absolutely in shock and our hearts go out to Dr Gellers, lovely family, and friends. We will keep everyone in our prayers.

I moved our family to Elkridge in 1999, and selected Dr. Geller as my primary care physician. I just saw him last month for my annual physical. He was always energetic and cheerful, and just finished moving Centennial Medical Group into its new offices. This announcement came as a great shock to me, in today's paper, so I could not attend the service to pay my respects. It is with great sadness that I offer my condolences to his family.

Dr Geller was my primary care physician for over twenty years! Coming from a medical family, I always tried to second guess what my diagnosis was.. he would just laugh & set me straight.. blood work, tests, & questions! He was a good listener, a kind person & spoke very highly of his family- especially his daughters (I hope they know that) thank you for sharing your dad/husband with us! He made a difference & shared his gift with all of us

I have known Steven for 10 years through tennis. I was one of the cardio tennis coaches at Green Spring Racquet Club and more recently at Coppermine Racquet and Fitness. He was always the first one to class, rain, shine or blizzard, as he was very passionate about his tennis! Always kind, respectful, jovial, and a smile on his face, he was so happy to be on the court and with the people he enjoyed sharing tennis with. I know he was also an outstanding and celebrated physician, but we shared tennis and our love for the game. Recently, he has been coming to my young kids clinic to see his grandson, Aiden, learn tennis and delighting in the fact that the tennis tradition was going to be carried on, and no doubt he was envisioning playing with Aiden one day and sharing his strategies and wicked approach shots. Steven was a family man, ALWAYS happy to share his experiences about family gatherings with his children and grandchildren. When I would ask if he had a good vacation with his family he would always say with a BIG smile, "Oh yeah! We had a great time, and it was so much fun seeing the kids have fun and just all being together!" I will miss Steven´s big smile, amazing angles on the court, and, mostly, his big, big heart!!! Steven, you will be greatly missed, but I know you are serving up aces in heaven! My heart goes out to all the family during this difficult and unexpected time!!

Desired to share that I had the honor of first befriending Dr Steve 35 years ago during my years as a fellow Pharmacist colleague of his dear wife, Doc Beth.

Dr Steve was very clinically sound and highly empathetic with his patients care, service and treatment.
Yet, what I remember most, was Steve as a husband and father.

His utmost love for Beth and their
three daughters personal and professional accomplishments accorded Steve a sense of joy that
was highly evident and unsurpassed.

Well done, Dr Steven Geller. You were a difference maker, and your
legacy will continue via Beth, Kaitlin, Erin and Meredith.
