Steven was born on February 19, 1956 in Flint, Michigan to Paul and Lorraine Gerke. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Church. Steven attended Clio Schools and graduated with the class of 1974. He was a dedicated truck driver for over 35 years, with four different trucking companies and was employed at Sharco Express until September, 2024. Steven was a do'er, a giver, and enjoyed helping his mother.
Left to cherish his memory: his mother, Lorraine Gerke; his brother, Randy and his wife Barbara; his sister, Janice; three nieces, Cecelia and her husband Ryan, Melissa, Becca and her family. He was preceded in death by his father, Paul Gerke.
Rest in Peace Steve, you were a wonderful son, brother, uncle, neighbor and friend.
