Steven Dale Glass, age 66, of New Philadelphia, passed away Saturday, February 4, 2023 in Cleveland Clinic Union Hospital at Dover.
Born May 19, 1956 in Dover, Ohio, he was the son of Robert and Dorthy (McFall) Glass.
Steve was a graduate of New Philadelphia High School. After graduation he worked for over 20 years at Belden Brick and Beach Design, owned Glass Construction for 13 years and a DJ business. He retired from Gradall.
He was an avid fisherman and loved playing his guitar, building fires, playing pool and darts. But most of all he loved spending time with his family and friends. He was known as a loving and caring man who had the biggest heart and was always willing to help others.
Steve will be deeply missed by his wife, Denise (Rennicker) Glass who he married on June 7, 2014; children, Keerstin (Fiancé, Tre Moreland) Rennicker of Uhrichsville, Samantha (Jason) Reed of Dover, Shane (Kayla) McNutt of Minerva, Corey (Amy) McNutt of Gnadenhutten; grandchildren, Nathan, Joshua, Scarlett, Valyn, Gavin and Dylan; parents, Robert and Dorthy Glass; siblings, Terry (Terri) Glass, Kathy (Todd) Beatty, David (Jennifer) Glass; mother-in-law, Cheryl Rennicker; brother-in-law, Jason (Heather) Rennicker, Jon (Brandi) Rennicker; aunts and uncles, Wilma Daniel, Donna Miller, Mildred (Raymond) Butts, Mary (Robert) Wallace, Gary (Mary) Rennicker; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Howard Rennicker; grandson, Xander McNutt, grandparents, Donald and Della McFall and Elmer and Oresco Glass.
Visitation will be held Saturday, February 11, 2023 at Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia from 12:00 – 1:00 PM. A service will be held in the funeral home beginning at 1:00 PM with Rev. Rob Eller officiating. Inurnment will follow in East Avenue Cemetery in New Philadelphia.
Memorial contributions in Steve's memory may be directed to Community Hospice, 716 Commercial Ave SW, New Philadelphia, Ohio 44663.
