Growing up there are so many fun memories of Steve in our teen years; though perhaps it should be referred to as the early mischief years.
One time, when we were playing in the creek next to their home, I waded down through the culvert underneath the road and about half way down got bit by a crawdad. I screamed so very loud (as if I lost a limb) and Steve thought it was so funny that he laughed so hard that he lost his balance on the rock he was standing on, fell in, soaked head to toe, and then on the way back to the rock, he too got bit by a crawdad. I believe we both were unaware of just how high a pitch a scream could come from either of us.
Thank you for the wonderful obituary, Steve was always such a character, and condolences to all on this great loss.

I'm heartbroken to hear of the loss of Steven. I remember him as an adorable little boy who lived in the house next to my parent's home! Ron, Jackie, Stevie and Patty were a wonderful family and I will always remember those days as magical! Please accept my sincere condolences for your loss!
Sincerely, Lee A. Hanson Jr.
