Steven Craig Grimes, 68, of Weatherford, passed away on Saturday, August 7, 2021, in Weatherford.
A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., on Friday, August 13, 2021, at the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, 913 N. Elm Street, in Weatherford. A funeral service celebrating his life will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, August 14, 2021, at the funeral home. Burial will be private.
Steven was born on March 30, 1953, in Kermit, Texas, to J. Harlan and Doris Grimes. He was an avid TCU Fan! He enjoyed outdoor activities including hunting and fishing. He collected NASCAR memorabilia, pocket knives, and Native American artifacts including Arrowheads. Steve loved people and was a natural salesman. Most of all, Steven cherished time spent with his family.
Steve is survived by his wife, Melody; his children, Jason and wife, Anissa Grimes, and Jennifer and husband, Matthew Weishuhn; his grandson, Jordan Grimes; his father, Harlan and wife, Jean Grimes; his brother, Mitchell (Jeanette) Grimes; and by his nephew, Zach and wife, Brytany; nieces, Maci Grimes; and by his cousins, Russell Smith and Brad Smith; long-time friend, Larry Waters; and by numerous friends.
Steve was preceded in death by his mother, Doris Hilliard, and by his brother, Van Grimes.
