Delores and Dale Wegner
June 11, 2024
I was a young wife and mother living across the street from Steve when he was a teenager. I remember seeing him clean the garbage can with a garden hose, and I thought, there is a young man who is going places!
I saw the industry that both Steve and his sister, Cyndi, displayed when, after their parents died, they painted their home in preparation for its sale.
I had the privilege of taking him to get his driver's license. He nailed it on the first try!
Steve was a young man of integrity. He was decent and respectful. I am not surprised that he did so well. I thoroughly enjoyed his obituary notice!
My husband, Dale, and I offer our deep sympathy to Judy and Steve's lovely family, and also to Cyndi, our first babysitter. So sad.
With our love and prayers, Delores and Dale Wegner

I met Steve for the first time at Mankato State, we were neighbors in the dorm. Instant friends, an so many memories. Playing cards, our kitten ball softball team. The friendship continued, with luncheon and get-togethers. My deepest thoughts and prayers for a fantastic family.

I am deeply saddened to hear of his passing!! What a tremendous loss for all that knew him and especially his family! "They always came first"
He was quite the character, I have many fond memories and funny stories from years of working with him at Hi Line!!!!!!! Ie: fishing trips, business trips and MANY funny days in the office...
It´s just ironic he always said OH SHOOT I GOTTA GO

My first memory of Steve is when he came into the Liquor Store that I worked at in Brooklyn Park. When I saw him it brought back memories of my time at The Harvard of the North (Mankato State) believe it or not he was actually attending a Econ Class that I was also in. If I recall I had him in two of my classes but never officially met him until the Liquor Store. We shared a lot of good times together including golf. I got my first set go golf clubs from him (I think I was ripped off!!!). "Easy Money" was my nickname for Steve and his for me. I've always been so proud of how he started and made such a successful business, was such a great Father, husband and Friend. Rest in peace EASY MONEY. Mert Becker

I´ll never forget meeting Steve at my very first meeting with Gerbert Limited at Surfaces. Being brand new to the agent business Steve was a great mentor for me. He always took a call no matter how busy he was and I owe a lot of my success to Steve. My thoughts and prayers to the family. Steve was very good man and will be missed.
