Steven Michael Hall

Steven Michael Hall, 84 of Vancouver, WA died February 19th, 2023 at Battle Creek Memory care following a long battle with cancer and Alzheimer`s.
Services will be 2:00pm, Friday March 3rd 2023 at Mountain View Church in Aumsville, Oregon.
Steven Michael Hall was born September 2nd, 1938 in Portland Oregon, the son of Harold and Bernice Hall. After graduating High School and receiving his bachelor`s degree in civil engineering, Steve married Melva Joyce Lee March 11th, 1961. They would be together for over 60 years until his passing in 2023. Steven worked as an Engineering Aid in the 1950's, a Junior Civil Engineer, Structural Inspector, Junior Design Engineer and Port Engineer until he received his certification from the Oregon State Board of Engineering Examiners for Civil Engineering on July 22, 1977. The majority of his career was then spent as a Public Works Director for the cities of Tukwila, WA, Milwaukie, OR, and Ashland, OR.
After many moves, Steve and Melva settled in Vancouver, WA. Steven retired in 2001 and spent his spare time building frames for Melva's many watercolor paintings which were displayed throughout their home. Both Steve and Melva were active in their church, donating money, time and their home to spread God's word.
Steven is survived by his wife Melva Hall, daughters Michele, Debbie, Tricia, son Eric, 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Steven was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Bernice Hall and his sister Lorraine England.
