Dear Hockman Family,
Please know of my sincere condolences. Steve was always one of my favorite students in the Respiratory Care program here in Winchester, VA. His excellence as a medical therapist, his remarkable good humor, and kindness to all with whom he worked with in the hospital made was greatly appreciated by staff and patients. Steve made many friends who appreciated his humor, his medical skill, and his professionalism.
Most sincerely, Karen Kennedy Schultz

I was very sad to hear about Steve's passing. He was a great work friend and always a pleasure to be around. Steve support of the Clinical Engineering Team was always very positive. I enjoyed our conversations about the world in general. Sometimes they were out there, but still great conversations. Steve had a great view of the world. He will be missed. We are all better for having spent time with him.

Steve was one of my most trusted respiratory therapist friends. I was always comforted to know when he was on night shift when I worked in MedSurg ICU. He will be greatly missed . Our paths crossed often throughout our years at Wmc. He was always quick with a smile and always a thoughtful friend. Prayers to his family. He will be greatly missed by all that he touched.
