It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Steven Richard Hoffman, a beloved brother, uncle, and friend, who left us on Wednesday, March 4th, 2026, at the age of 58. Born on November 12th, 1967, in Oswego, NY. Steven was a cherished resident of Hannibal, NY, having recently lived in Virginia.
Steven was the loving son of the late Richard and Edna Mae Hoffman and was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents. He is survived by his loving sisters, Shari (Steven) Gordon of Hannibal, NY, and Susan (Shawn) Conner of Red Creek, NY. He also leaves behind his cherished nieces and nephews: Nicole Birdsell (Cody Espaniola), Kristy Ketcham (Miles Cowles), Shawn (Alexandra) Conner Jr., and Shane Conner, along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will deeply miss him.
Steven was a man of the outdoors, finding joy in hunting, fishing, boating, and camping. He was renowned for his bonfires and cookouts, where he brought people together with his infectious laughter and generous spirit. Steven was often the life of the party, creating unforgettable memories with those he loved.
Steven's loyalty and kindness were evident in his relationships, and he was a steadfast friend to many. He shared a special bond with his faithful companion, Peppie, and found solace in the melodies of country music.
A graveside service to honor Steven's life will be held in the spring at Hannibal Village Cemetery. The family invites those who wish to leave a special message or memory to sign the guestbook.
Steven will be remembered for his giving heart, his love for life, and the joy he brought to all who knew him. He will be dearly missed and forever cherished by his family and friends.
